MD Abdul Baqi, a geology expert with 38 years of experience in Bangladesh's energy sector, served as the Managing Director of Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration & Production Company Limited and Technical Advisor to Gazprom International (Russia). His roles included overseeing seismic data analysis, well site geology, and reservoir management. His contributions led to notable gas discoveries, earning him industry recognition and awards. He holds a Master of Science in Geology and has published technical papers on sedimentary structures and hydrocarbon prospects. MD Amzad Hossain, a mechanical engineer with degrees from Dhaka University and the National University, embarked on a distinguished career in Bangladesh's energy sector. Beginning in 1976, he trained with experts from the USSR, later expanding his expertise through training in the USA, Russia, and China. His roles evolved from Assistant Engineer Drilling to General Manager, overseeing diverse projects including the Shahbajpur Gas Field development. Serving as Director Operation and Managing Director of Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration & Production Company Limited, his leadership garnered approval from the government.
